1. Who we are

kariws ("we", "us") operates the website kariws.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch data protection law.

2. What data we collect

We collect data only when you actively provide it or when you give consent:

• Contact form: name, email address, and your message. This data is processed by our server and stored securely.
• Analytics (with consent): Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate location. This only happens if you accept cookies.

3. Why we collect it (legal basis)

• Contact form: processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) given via the privacy checkbox.
• Analytics: processing is based on your explicit consent via the cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

4. Cookies

We do not set any cookies unless you accept them via the cookie consent banner. If accepted, Google Analytics sets the following cookies:

• _ga — distinguishes users (expires after 2 years)
• _ga_* — maintains session state (expires after 2 years)

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or local storage. We will then stop analytics tracking on your next visit.

5. Third-party processors

• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) — website analytics. Data may be transferred to the US under Google's data processing terms.
• Brevo (Sendinblue SA) — transactional email delivery. Your contact form data is sent to our email via Brevo's API.

6. How long we keep data

• Contact form submissions: retained for up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved.
• Analytics data: retained by Google for 14 months, then automatically deleted.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)
